“Every morning, as I welcome my little ones into the playschool, their bright eyes and cheerful giggles remind me why I chose this profession. Toddlers, at this age, don’t need much to feel happy – just love, care, and the freedom to move around comfortably. The moment they step into class, they run to their favorite corners, some to the blocks, some to the crayons, while others wait for me with eager hugs.
👉 What amazes me most is how quickly they mingle with one another.
▪️ A small group sharing toys, another clapping to rhymes, and some simply sitting together in their own little world — their innocence creates a bond that requires no effort.
👉 And I’ve realized one thing over the years: comfort is the real key.
▪️ These three hours of preschool are full of running, hopping, rolling, and cuddling. If their clothes are soft, easy, and non-fussy, their joy shines through. On the other hand, even the slightest itch or tightness can bring on tears faster than anything else.
▪️ Sometimes parents dress them in fancy outfits, especially on birthdays. While it looks adorable for a moment, I’ve seen children tugging, scratching, or becoming cranky because of the thick or stiff fabric. That’s when I gently remind parents — birthdays are for laughter, play, and comfort. The happiest birthday pictures are always of children freely running around in soft cottons, not sitting still, upset in itchy dresses.
✔️ In the end, toddlers don’t care about glitter or frills. They just want to feel free, loved, and comfortable. And when they are, the three hours in preschool become their favorite time of the day — full of learning, laughter, and little friendships that begin with a simple smile”.
